Tell us about your role at Annalect.
As an Analyst on the Support team, I get to work with new and existing technology vendors, to secure and onboard the best tools for our teams.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
I visit at least one new restaurant every week. I dabble in mixing craft cocktails. I’m a huge pop culture fan — so you’ll often find me reading, watching, or listening to the latest in pop culture.
What is your proudest professional achievement?
During my college event-programming days, I booked a sold-out show at our campus, featuring comedians from a then-popular TV show. I’ll never forget the message my director sent me — telling me how proud they were that I’d organized such an imaginative event (for my school) — and how much people enjoyed their night.
In celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, who or what is your biggest inspiration.
My Abuelita, who fled El Salvador during the civil war in search of a better life for her family. She worked seven days a week so she could bring her kids, including my mom, to the US. She has always carried herself with resilience and humility, and instilled a tireless work ethic into her children and grandchildren.
What message do you have for Hispanic/Latino/Latina colleagues, who may be early in their career and looking to grow into positions of leadership in their schools, workplaces or communities?
Don’t be afraid to say yes to opportunities that come your way, whether that means joining a BRG (business resource group) at work, or volunteering for a cause that’s important to you.
