What is your current role at Annalect?
I’m a Marketing Intelligence Analyst, which primarily consists of: assisting in the creation of match-tables which help clients understand the effectiveness of their marketing; and building taxonomies which are used to classify and organize data logically.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
I enjoy spending time with my family, and I do a lot of self-motivated study to hone my data skills.
What is your proudest professional achievement?
I was recently given the opportunity to manage and prioritize tasks related to a major client. Knowing that my manager had confidence in my abilities, and trusted me to manage important tasks effectively, felt great.
In celebrating Black history and culture, who or what is your biggest inspiration.
My Haitian parents are my biggest inspiration. Their resilience, strength, and commitment to our heritage have shaped not only my identity — but also my understanding of the rich tapestry of Black History. That spirit of perseverance and cultural pride gives me the courage to meet any challenge which comes my way.
What message do you have for black men and women earlier in their career looking to grow into positions of leadership in their schools, workplaces, and communities?
One piece of advice I would give to Black men and women growing in their careers is: always bet on yourself. Embrace your unique strengths; cultivate your skills; and never underestimate the power that comes from within. The journey to leadership starts with believing you are more than capable of fulfilling that role.
