The Asian-American community is one of the most diverse communities in the U.S. At 16 million strong, US Asians represent about 6% of the total population, up 22% since 2010.
Asian-Americans are slightly younger than the total U.S. population, with 40% under 34 year old, compared to 29% of the total market. The main sub-groups in the Asian-American community include Chinese, Asian Indian, Filipino, Korean and Japanese. In addition, they’re also well-educated, affluent and love to shop; especially if the price and quality are right.
